Our Identity:
China Ministries International was founded in 1978 by Dr. & Rev. Jonathan Chao (1938-2004) as one of the earliest international mission organizations established by Chinese people.
Our Vision:
Evangelization of China:Bring the Gospel to the Chinese people worldwide, of which 95% are non-believers, including those in Mainland China.
Kingdomization of the Church:Take God’s wholistic, redemptive historical work as the overall context and principle for missions, break through narrow denominationalism, sectarianism and nationalism, and build up God's kingdom with all the body of Christ together.
Christianization of Culture:promote cultural renewal with Christian values and biblical truth, enabling the believers to be salt and light in the cultural, educational, political, social, and economic spheres to exert positive influence.
Our Spirituality:
Union with the Triune God in life, love, truth, work, and suffering, all for His glory.
Our Mission:
To promote cultural renewal in global Chinese churches and fulfill the Great
Commission, the call of sanctification, and the cultural Christianization mandate.
Our Faith Statement:
We believe in:
- The unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the Godhead;
- The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment;
- The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture, as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct;
- The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall, rendering them subject to God’s wrath and condemnation;
- Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God who is man’s only Representative and Substitute;
- The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from death and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father;
- The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration;
- The justification of the sinner by grace of God through faith alone;
- The gift of eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ to the saved, and the eternal punishment of the unsaved;
- The indwelling and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in the believer;
- The one Holy Universal Church which is the Body of Christ and to which all true believers belong;
- The certain expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We Are A ECFA Member
The Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) is an American financial standards association representing Evangelical Christian organizations and churches, which qualify for tax-exempt, nonprofit status and receive tax-deductible contributions.
The ECFA members are organized charities in the US, typically 501(c)3 Evangelical nonprofits and churches. Members range "from evangelism in foreign jungles to race car driver evangelism, from ministry to the elderly, children, the impaired, to those in the military, those on the streets, and to many in between. All members are fulfilling a calling to reach a lost world for Christ. ECFA members are located across the U.S. and U.S. territories and range from the very large national ministries to smaller local ministries and churches."
Members are required to annually submit a renewal document which includes the recent copy of the audited financial statement (some smaller organizations are allowed to send in reviewed or compiled statements) and answers to a number of questions related to the membership standards.
